Angler Gang Fishing

Salmon Fishing

My old friend Tim has been checking out the Fishing Blog — Page 2 and called me up interested in some fishing. So I decided to take him out for some giants, go big or stay home right? We set out with the salmon man Kevin knowing he would guide us to some awesome salmon and trout fishing. We hit up the lovely Lake Ontario and in no time Tim caught his biggest fish ever. Pretty sure he thought it was going to eat him for a minute. The three of us shared some good laughs and caught a bunch of fish.

Bass Fishing Lake Scugog

I hit Lake Scugog and met up with Jon from FishingFury.com I caught a bunch in this size range and Jon caught the better one on a frog. We talked fishing, Fishing Blog — Page 2s, politics, health care…. Okay maybe not the last two there. We didn’t get into the size or numbers we were after but we had a good time chasin’ em.

Conquest of the Kings

Angler Gang and Chasin Tail Outfitters at it again…We set out on what had to be the gloomiest rainiest mornings of the warm weather season so far. Dark skies and patches of pouring rain on the drive in weren’t going to deter me from the chance to catch some great fish. The weather cleared up by the time we reached our starting spot and with the roof covering half the boats deck things were comfortable as we awaited strikes. Our lines were down no longer than five minutes and there was a fish on which I ended up losing near the boat. I didn’t mind much with a fish on that fast, it wouldn’t be long before another and it wasn’t. Moments later I brought in this rainbow.

Still here? OK well Mystery Tackle Box is a subscription service where every month you get a new Mystery Tackle Box chalked full of new baits. As of now its primarily bass tackle but Ive heard rumors that species specific boxes are in the works. I’ll let you watch a short video explaining how it works. For those of you in the know continue on to the review.

After this one it was a while before another take but the next one was a good one. This time I was hooked up with a huge chinook salmon that started pealing line like it was his job. Line counter read 508 by the time he finished his initial run. It was a great battle and the beautiful chinook salmon weighed in at 25.4lbs

We fished on catching some more rainbow trout and smaller salmon before the next great battle with a king. Had this one on a lighter outfit and he was down for a fight this morning. This fish stayed deep and fought hard the entire time. This one ended up weighing less but had twice the fight in him.

Giant Carp Fishing

One of our facebook friends put me onto a spot right here in the Greater Toronto Area for some monster carp. I was yet to add a carp to the list of fish Ive caught, so my friend John and I gave it a shot. This was the results of our efforts.
